The Blue Jay is the "biggest" little One Design sloop of her size afloat today. While her rig is short, she is lively and fast and ghosts along easily in light air. Her roomy cockpit affords comfortable leg room, and her beam and shallow "V" bottom give her amazing stiffness. She is beautifully balanced, responsive, and light enough to easily load on a trailer, yet "big" and stable enough to make a fine family boat for youngsters and adults. The hull and deck are hand laid fiberglass with PVC foam core. The mast, boom and spinnaker pole are aluminum, stainless standing rigging and low stretch dacron running rigging.
